Previously I used Comcast. I had the 1.2 speed plan. My speed test were 9 to 950 mbps consistently. Once I had fiber installed. I can't get past 600 mbps. My last test is 281.62 down. Up is 633.86. Same router which is the Netgear r6350. I know my router is the weak spot in the chain. But what concerns me is that comcast was almost double the speed with the same equipment. And computer. Sonic technician gave me some cat 6 cables. I assumed the cable was the issue. I bought cat 7 cables. Nothing changed. My ping is the only thing I noticed was an upgrade over comcast. There has to be something I need to change to get my speeds up. I have been troubleshooting this the past few days. Anything I should look for?

Try connecting the computer directly into the ONT and see what speeds you get.

I did a direct connection. My speeds are 2313 DL & 2340 Upload. My onboard ethernet port is capable of 2.5.
I wish I could keep it connected directly from Ont to Pc. But I pulled that cable super fast. Since people say that you have to have a router in front of the pc.
