ssh: connection reset by peer

It's been a while for me, probably mid-2018, since I logged into sonic's shell. Going in for some web page edits. I'm on an older Mac running Mojave using the Mac OS's Terminal app.
I think I'm not doing anything weird, but I forgot that I needed to specify my login name with -l initially since my local host's user name is different. I suppose I might have tripped a security thing punching in the wrong password too many times. Will this reset automatically, or do I need some support intervention?

Code: Select all
% ssh sh.sonic.net -l kchang
ssh_exchange_identification: read: Connection reset by peer
