Hi all,
I think I'm just here to report what others have already reported on other channels re. the recent service price increase.

I have been with sonic (10G Basic plan - 29.99$/month) for the last year.

After having to move to a new address, I noticed how I could only sign up for the Standard plan for 49.99$/month.
There is no way of going back to Basic, since even though I'm the same customer, it's a new service installation according to them.

What threw me off a bit, is the fact that they are not supporting the Basic plan anymore, because people didn't like the fact that there was no phone support. The only time I needed phone support was right now to discuss the bill price increase.

I think the service still offers great value for the price (compared to other offers), but a little more transparency re. service transfer would have been nice.

Thanks!
Iacopo

More likely, your new location doesn't support the 10 Gbps service that is needed for the Basic Plan.

Yes, for a new connection we can only provision currently available products. This means for example that we can’t provide new Fusion DSL, IP Broadband or Basic Fiber - those services are no longer available as new connections.
