Was just talking to some friends in the SF Bay Area and was told in their case, it was around 18 months for their pre-construction phase, so it seems like we might still have over a year left. Amusingly, a Spectrum sales guy in the area just told us that by 2025, they will be offering FTTH here in Redondo Beach (I presume that he as incorrect and was conflating symmetric DOCIS 4.0 with FTTH, but who knows). It would certainly be funny if Spectrum delivered FTTH before Sonic.

Just wanted to post an update that my area, 90503 finally went to construction status, with a forecasted live date of July 2024. Here's hoping it goes quickly, and for all of you waiting too!

I signed up for Sonic Fiber in Lomita a week ago & received an October 24 timeframe. I have seen the Sonic trucks in Lomita installing fiber cable

Wow. Lucky ducks in 90503 and Lomita!

Fingers crossed we have it in Lawndale soon also.

Lomita atleast for my location has been pushed back from June to July 2025. Seems like they push it back 2 months automatically. Ironically I am getting physical fliers about SONIC availability.

Physical flyers is a good sign. We got some in lawndale too - but might have jumped the gun.

I saw a sonic bucket truck parked in Lomita when visiting my cousin. Told him to pre order but sadly he is the type that won’t usually sign up until it’s a done deal.
