Hello,

I was provided with a GS HT801 when I first connected fiber up to my residence (it was a move, had sonic fiber at my previous residence). Decided to try connecting it so I can get my fax machine up and running again. I've updated the device to the latest firmware and and performed a factory reset on the device and basically removed all the sonic.net provisioning urls from the advanced configuration. So, starting from a pristine HT801, how can I pull a configuration from commportal.sonic.net for my number? n.b. I have added an HT801 to my "phone profiles". What must I do to get the ATA registering?

My HT801 runs the following software:

Code: Select all

Software Versions:
    Program -- 1.0.45.2
    Boot -- 1.0.45.1
    Core -- 1.0.45.1
    Base -- 1.0.45.2
Reset the device with the following:

Code: Select all

telnet GS.local
Grandstream HT801 Command Shell Copyright 2006-2023
GS> reset 0
You have chosen to do a factory reset.
Do you want to continue (y/N)? y

Hello! Your ATA is missing its SIP registration. I have since resent said registration and a reboot should now restore your phone service. If a reboot does not resolve the issue, please try factory resetting once more. If trouble persists, I would recommend contacting our support team at (855) 394-0100.

After looking into this further, we will ultimately need to replace the ATA. Unfortunately, removing the sonic.net urls is not something that can be restored by factory resetting, and the ATA is no longer communicating with Sonics servers. Please reach out to our support team at your earliest convenience.

My ata may have been offline at the time you made changes. Regardless, it's still unregistered. Would it be possible to remediate this problem by making changes to values in "Advanced Configuration -> Firmware Upgrade and Provision"? Mine are all blank (see attached):
