Fiber on North Main Street

We still do not have fiber on North Main Street (north of Healdsburg Ave.) although Analy High School has a special fiber line running in front of our house to the school. My neighbor behind me has fiber availability, and my office is next to his property.
If he grants a utility easement, would Sonic connect fiber to my office? An alternative would be for Sonic to install fiber at his residence and I could run an ethernet line to my office and pay for two accounts.

There may be other limiting obstacles preventing us from installing fiber at your location like an overloaded pole or aerial trespassing issues.

Our goal is to improve the quality of Internet service in America! By expanding our own Gigabit Fiber we are able to provide top tier customer service, the fastest rates achievable in the country and our award winning privacy policy all at an affordable rate. That being said, infrastructure construction is a large feat and it will take some time to expand those services. Hopefully we can get out to your area in the near future.

You can DM me or email support at support@sonic.com your address and your neighbors address as well as your above questions and we can check with our Fiber engineering team to determine why you don't have availability.

To answer the easement question, because it does come up from time to time in cases like this, no that is not something we can take on. The typical situation is that a street behind yours has Sonic fiber but yours does not yet, and the friendly neighbor says yeah, sure, you can build across my property. This would require recording an easement in Sonic's benefit, placement of conduit, and the pulling of a drop through that new path. But it'd also trigger a need for re-engineering of the splitter and drop capacity of the other street, where this additional use was not anticipated. All of these things are just not feasible for us. I'm afraid you'll need to wait until we expand the distribution network to reach you.
