Would be nice if there were an outage map on the website. My service is out in Alameda 94501 and I'm on hold with support.

I just heard back from technical support and learned there is a DSL outage throughout Alameda. Service is expected to be restored by 8 pm tonight.

Yeah, I called, too. I meant to post here. There's a Sonic Status page and a Sonic Status twitter account where Sonic could have posted the news.
