Hi,
I just switched out a router for a mesh system. I couldn't get the new router to get an IP address from the ONT. I then tried to connect a computer via ethernet to the ONT and that didn't work either.
After some research, I guessed that maybe there was a limit to the number of MAC addresses that area allowed to get an IP directly from the ONT.
I called support and they cleared the MAC table and then everything worked like a charm. I find that Sonic support is great.
Posting this message here in case anyone else bumps into this issue when upgrading or switching to a new router.
Happy Internetting
