Failure of Sonic fax Service to transmit file

I have been trying to fax a 3-page pdf document to my bank, using the Sonic fax service today. It has failed 4 times in a row. I called the sonic support line at 707-547-3400. The guy said he couldn't help me and referred me here. I also e-mailed Sonic support and received ticket number, ##7051962. I have received no help. I need to get this fax to my bank for tax purposes before EOY. What is the problem? I have used Sonic service for the past 4 years and never had a problem like this. Please respond so I can at least find another way to send this information, if sonic can't.

I took a look at the outbound fax attempts for the 27th - it looks like the receiving fax number was reporting as busy every time we tried to send your fax. The fax system is set up to make 5 tries at sending a fax, with some waiting time between attempts.

Here are the times it attempted to call:
2022-12-27 19:08:50
2022-12-27 19:09:50
2022-12-27 19:11:51
2022-12-27 19:14:52
2022-12-27 19:18:53
2022-12-27 19:23:53

My assumption here is that the fax number you were sending to was tied up answering/sending, so there was no way for us to get your fax through.

I was able to successfully send a test fax today at 3:40pm, so I encourage you to try again.

Thanks for responding, Joe. I purposely sent the faxes after the 5PM closing time for the bank, thinking the fax receiver would be open after business hours. It is amazing to me that the receiver queue was so clogged by other faxes that it failed to receive mine six times in a row. My wife and I finally drove 45 minutes to the bank with the paper documents and handed them over. Then drove 45 minutes back.

Some financial organizations intentionally disable fax machines outside of business hours so that confidential communications aren't left on a machine where a janitor or cleaning person can find them. Perhaps your institution leaves the fax phone off hook.
