Can the newsserver be checked?

Hi,
I'm finding a bunch of articles missing when my news client (Forté Agent) gets headers, but if I use a .NZB file, the articles do get retrieved. I'm guessing the indices are corrupt or not getting built properly?
Can this be checked? It seemed to be working well for several months, and just in the past two weeks has this manifested. ...thanks! -m
