Need Desk Phone & Headset Recommendations for Gigabit Fiber

I’m struggling to find a desk phone/headset combination that works well with my Sonic Gigabit Fiber service. I’ve tried three different desk phones plugged into my ONT, in combination with three different wired headsets, and typically I also try using an amplifier (the Plantronics Vista M22), but the results are always disappointing. There is no problem in my hearing what others are saying in a phone conversation, but the quality of my transmitted voice is, at best, only fair – and sometimes worse depending on the other party’s phone. Before I switched over to Sonic from an AT&T copper landline last year, I didn’t experience this problem.
There must be countless people happily using Sonic’s Gigabit Fiber for making phone calls with headsets. What equipment are you/they using to make that work well?? I need your recommendations!
