Trunking with sonic

Not working today so I had some free time.
I have been playing with voip and installed a freepbx instance on a vm.
I can call between extensions using soft phones on android phones; I have been able to setup an PAP2 and use a corded phone as an extension.
Now I would like to call outside.
I could get a trunk from voip.ms, or get a spa2000 (which has an fxo port) and connect it to sonic voip port on the ONT.
Or sonic may be nice enough to tell me how to connect to it directly without going to an analog line.
Is there any chance this can happen?
