Consumer Reports Rating

I just got my August Consumer Reports magazine today and noticed that Sonic took the top spot for ISPs.
I am actually surprised that Sonic was even listed since they are not nationwide...yet!
Congrats to Sonic.

Thank you. It's great to see the team here recognized this way. Top in the nation is a huge award indeed!

It's not just that Sonic is at the top. Except for Google Fiber (which I would assume is all fiber, unlike Sonic), no other ISP listed even comes close. All the 24 other ISPs except these two are given the worst grade in value and have middle or worse grades for reliability, speed, tech support, and customer service. The CR article says "differences of fewer than 5 points between overall satisfaction scores are not meaningful"; Sonic leads all but Google Fiber by a minimum of 14 points and as much as 39 points.
