I'm considering moving my domain registration over to Sonic. Does Sonic support IPv6 glue records (my current register doesn't).

I just found out that google is now refusing e-mail from IPv6 servers that don't have valid reverse resolution.

more usefull ipv6 info (good to know) see links

I'm on sonic.net domain registration, and they were able to set up an IPV6 glue record for me, but to be honest they're not really setup well to do domain registration without using their hosting. In my experience, changing glue records requires at least an email to support, and sometimes a phone call; on the plus side, I haven't had to do it very often.

We can manually add ipv4/ipv6 glue records for domains registered on our service. Just send an email to support - I do warn that it doesn't come up very often (once or twice a year) and so there may be confusion as to what you are asking for. In almost all cases I'd recommend using our authoritative name servers and web based zone editor rather than running your own name server(s.)

Kelsey,

Thanks for the reply, I just dropped support a message.

I host my own DNS since it's something I also do in my "day job" and it gives me my own server to test with and experiment with (for testing dnssec and IPv6 for example). I am also the primary for a couple of my friends' domains and I haven't convinced them to convert to Sonic yet. :-)
