WordPress can't access MySQL database

I am trying to install WordPress on a sub directory of my value hosting site.

I have created a database for it.

However, after entering the host location for the database into the wp_config.php file I get the error message that WordPress cannot access the database.

The db location is given as 'tsheiner-bbv.db.sonic.net'

Do I need to modify the path somehow to make it either absolute or correctly relative from the WordPress location?

OK, this is resolved.

I had a typo in the user name.
