Running Sonic’s Smart RG Sr515ac and my max 5.0 ghz speed on my iPhone X and new MacBook Pro is ~350 Mbps. What gives? I tested this right next to it with no obstruction.

Hello,

Unfortunately wireless isn't the best form of connectivity. There are vast quantities of factors that will negatively impact your wireless performance. The number of devices connected to the network sending information, the number of wireless networks around you, physical objects, electronics, and many other elements come in to play with your wireless connection. The easiest and cheapest way to get a stable connection is through ethernet but that's not always an option. In those cases adding additional wireless access points, connecting to 5Ghz over 2.4Ghz, or setting up a mesh networking system like eero or google wireless would be your best bet. If you'd like more information on troubleshooting your wireless please reach out to us. We're available 7 days a week from 8am to 10pm. We can be reached by email at support@sonic.net or by phone at 888-766-4233.

Best Wishes!
