Google Nest Protect on Sonic Gigabit Fiber

Has anybody been successful in setting up a Google Nest Protect (v2)?

Nest Protect now requires IPv6 for Internet functionality:

Enable IPv6

Your Nest Protect requires IPv6 in order to be added to the Nest app. Check you router's documentation to confirm that your router supports this setting and for information on how you can enable it.

I was instructed by support to disable IPv6 in my ASUS Router when I first purchased Sonic Gigabit Fiber due to the functionality not being supported.
