I'm trying to figure out SSL for my online store on Sonic.net. I'm computer-savvy but not experienced in web servers, and I really have no idea what I'm doing.

I have the SSL certificate, I did the CSR, and I think I have that authenticated. According to this (http://www.positivessl.com/ssl-certific ... e-ssl.html) my next step is to modify the httpd.conf file. I don't know where I would find that file; a search didn't find it in my Sonic.net webpage.

Can anyone offer any advice about what I might do next?

On linux systems it is here: /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf

Is Sonic.net a Linux system?

I was unable to find any /etc/ directory in the FTP webspace I have access to.

Last time I checked, you could not use your own SSL certificates with Sonic.net's hosting. Has this changed?

They do offer a shared SSL service though:
