Looked at the privacy policy for sonic.net and found a 2 week policy for IP address logging but there was no mention of usenet privacy polices.
Many usenet sites explicitly state they do not keep user logs.
What is the the sonic.net policy ?
Are logs kept for usenet users activities ?
Uploads ?
Downloads ?
If so how long are the logs kept for ?
Is SSL supported ?
Is news.sonic.net the only running usenet server ?

thx jeff

news server logs are currently kept for 3 days and include both upload and downloads. Local posts include a token that we can decrypt to determine the user/ip of who posted it. I won't promise that the number of days will not change, but it will never exceed our current stated policy of no logs capable of mapping a user to an ip for longer than two weeks. There is no ssl support.
