I want to put up a static webpage as a placeholder into my sonic.net folder.

I have a hosted url there and a blank 'INDEX>HTML' page but do not understand how I can open and edit it?

I had the Wordpress files installed in my ftp folder yesterday and have poured over the Wordpress website and downloaded a 'theme' but cannot figure out how to get an actual editable page on my desktop that I can put content into???

Why am having so much trouble - HELP MR WIZARD!?!

The front page that Wordpress built for you has a section in the lower-right named "Meta" that has a "Login" link. This will take you to a screen that lets you provide the username and password you specified when you set Wordpress up, and let you through to Wordpress's dashboard interface. From the dashboard you can add and edit content, modify the theme and layout of your site, and several other things.

I hope that helps!
