The logout button in the upper right corner is not well located and barely visible. RED would bring attention.
On the iPad, The magnification or zooming in / out does not work in the message display area, only in the preview pane and in the left side of the window, making it even more difficult to reach that logout button
On the iPad, The magnification or zooming in / out does not work in the contact display area, only in the left side of the window, under personal Addresses
On the iPad, Once in the compose message window, you can't scroll the contact list on the left side, meaning you can' t reach some of your contacts : if you zoom out, you can't read which contact it is and if you zoom in, you can't reach the contacts which are not displayed.
On the iPad, playing with the various columns, i managed to make the columns headers disappear and could not do anything anymore, nor bring back the columns headers , nor scroll the messages, only open the few messages that were still in my screen. I got stuck.

aman wrote:Yes, thanks, but Sonic.net wants to kill SquirrelMail, and I *can't* use "webmail beta." How can I access the Sonic.net Mail Server to delete all the spam *without* SquirrelMail?
Just about all the free email services offer the ability to fetch messages from another mail system, using either POP3 or IMAP. IMAP provides a way to view the "mail spool" from a remote program.

Pick your favorite web mail service, then use the information posted by "Guest Guest" on Wed Apr 10, 2013 9:44 pm to get the details on how to configure it to access your mailbox.

Can someone from the Sonic management team please respond?

THERE ARE DOZENS OF REQUESTS FROM WEBMAIL USERS ASKING THAT YOU KEEP THE CURRENT WEBMAIL OFFERINGS. ARE YOU GOING TO RESPOND TO THOSE REQUESTS OR ARE YOU GOING TO IGNORE THEM?

IS THERE A PERSON WITH A PHONE NUMBER AND/OR EMAIL ADDRESS WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR MAKING THIS DECISION, AND WHO IS THAT?

Shame on Sonic for how this has been handled.

Yes, as vritualmike already pointed out, you can configure multiple mail accounts and either send them all to a combined single inbox or view them separately. Using IMAP, what your phone or tablet sees will be the same as what webmail sees and the same as what your desktop sees.

That's not rude at all - the point of all of this is to make your email work for you, right? I'd actually recommend against forwarding mail to another provider and either checking multiple accounts (since every client supports it) or using your other providers POP/IMAP client support - meaning have them check and download your sonic email rather than having us forward it. This is likely to be a more reliable and trouble free configuration.

I announced it, I am responsible for the decision, and have been here responding to questions and constructive feedback as best I can since I made the announcement. Keeping all of the old mail clients running is not an option that is on the table, sorry. We are, however, committed to providing the best customer experience that we can and plan on making continued improvements in the new client based on customer feedback.

You can do this one of two ways -

Click on the '(+) add to cc' then start typing in the field. It will auto complete from the address book just like the To field does.
Select the entry from the address book that you'd to add, then click the appropriate "To+" "CC+" or "BCC+" button at the bottom of the address book pane.

I suppose what I could do is install a Yahoo Mail app (as I have with the Gmail app for that account) and configure the native client to the Sonic email. Hm.
Yes, iOS Mail does multiple accounts quite nicely. I use it on iPad and iPhone for Sonic mail, Gmail, work Outlook mail, Apple Mail, etc...

Still have not found the solution for this. I see someone else has the question, as well.

Am groping my way around the (not very intuitive) interface. It's completely unreadable on my desktop (Win XP with IE 7.0) Subjects are all listed as "u...", sender field is blank, and screens scroll horizontally. A disappointment.

Are my posts blocked or deleted by the "System Architect"? The following one has not shown up, so I'm trying again:

@ kgc a.k.a. "System Architect":

Interesting. This lowly Sonic.net employee "kgc" is acting like Hitler or Stalin and single-handedly decided to kill wonderful SquirrelMail and force his flawed Wundermail on all of us, many of whom have been with Sonic.net since the beginning and have been very happy with the skills, politeness and customer-friendliness of management and tech support personnel.

With one stroke that Sonic.net's Hitler is destroying what Dane, Scott, Eli and others have been building up over the years: the best and friendliest ISP around.

Mr. anonymous "System Architect", you are egoistically destroying Sonic.net's perfect reputation and angering thousands of loyal customers. Great job. Can your ego swell even more to the point of exploding? You will be Sonic.net's most hated -- nay, the *only* hated -- employee.

Where are Dane and Scott to *overrule* that "kgc"-Hitler? Are they aware of this huge controversy? Have they even read part of this large thread? Why has otherwise super-friendly and polite Dane not uttered one word? Why don't they listed to all the complaints about killing SquirrelMail? Why do they let one egomaniacal underling destroy Sonic.net's perfect reputation?

"kgc": "I announced it":
Yeah, with a *rude, brutal* 14-day ultimatum.

"kgc": "I am responsible for the decision":
So were Hitler and Stalin for their destructive actions. You're in good company.

"kgc": "Keeping all of the old mail clients running is not an option that is on the table, sorry":
Well, put that damned option back on the table and keep running SquirrelMail for the many loyal customers who want and need it.

"kgc": "We are, however, committed to providing the best customer experience that we can":
Total baloney! Your words are empty, insincere PR verbiage bordering on *lying*. Sonic.net's providing the "best customer experience" went down the toilet no thanks to that selfish "System Architect."

"kgc", if you feel insulted by my blunt language, you have no idea what I *really* think of you.

JOHN FITZGERALD and ELI, you're two of the nicest people at Sonic.net, and I have known you for many years. Would you *please* forward this post to Dane and Scott, so that they know what's going on and how that rude and egoistical "System Architect" is seriously damaging their creation. Thank you, guys.
