Thanks, Dane. That works for me, but my needs were relatively simple.dane wrote:Everything that the app did can be done remotely from a smartphone today. Forwarding and the other line settings for example can be configured in the Member Tools - just bookmark the page: https://members.sonic.net/voice/settings/
I hope this helps!

I used this app all the time on my iPhone. PLEASE bring it back!!!
I agree! Instead of learning about an important phone call at 10am I'm learning about it at 9pm. Way too late for a call that needed a reply during working hours! I still do not understand why you had to discontinue it without a suitable replacement.
The app sent me push notifications without consuming a lot of data or battery power. Email notifications are not a good replacement.
I still don't understand why you had to discontinue it instead of letting it be for those for whom it is useful albeit unsupported.

You can configure notifications via SMS as well as Twitter direct messages. Both allow you to receive instant notification when a new voicemail is left.Guest wrote: The app sent me push notifications without consuming a lot of data or battery power. Email notifications are not a good replacement.

Not quite: "You must have JavaScript enabled and Flash installed to use this tool." We all know that Flash support on iOS will happen after hell freezes over. Can we get a non-Flash web-based playback page? I don't use sonic.net for email from my phone.Guest wrote:After writing my previous post, I just clicked on the "Playback" link in Dane's post. I had no idea that there was a web interface to voicemail. I guess that's a reasonable replacement for the app and it's OS agnostic which is even better.
I'm also one of the users of the iPhone app. Although it was flaky, but it was still very useful. I had it installed on the main app section of my phone next to the iPhone's voicemail app. It was very convenient to see at a glance how many messages I had. I could also quickly scan the messages and listen to them in any order. Scanning the list through the email voicemail section only shows a few letters of the caller's id due to the intro text.
I understand the limited resources to work on projects. Could you still keep the app alive for it's loyal users, even in an "unsupported" status, perhaps through the Labs section. I have apps that are no longer "sold" through the app store but continue to work on my phone.
One issue of playing back voicemail messages through the email section (sonic -> voicemail) are the wav files only play back through the external speaker when clicked. I suspect it's an iOS issue. About the only workaround would be to use a headset plugged into the phone...
Set up: iPhone 5s, iOS 8.1.3

I guess I'm also one of those 100 people who use the app. My main use was for call forwarding from my landline to my cell when we were out on the road (like today). I found that extremely useful and preferred that to voicemail. Enabling call forwarding from my iPhone was very nice. What to do?
Bookmark this page (or the one after it, with the specific line selected if you like) on your mobile phone. All settings are available there!scasse wrote:I guess I'm also one of those 100 people who use the app. My main use was for call forwarding from my landline to my cell when we were out on the road (like today). Thanks.
I don't use Fusion every day, but now that it is gone I miss it - It was very convenient, both for checking voicemail and for toggling Fusion line settings to "resync" the two Fusion lines without hiking downstairs to power-cycle the router at the demarc in the garage. I'm sure that I can do these things with the web interface, but the app was very convenient and a time saver.
I miss it, but it you bring me FIBER to my house (Buena Vista Park, SF) I will forgive you.
