Hi. I have been getting multiple calls a day from a number that is confirmed to be a scam by the IRS. The callers claim to be IRS agents collecting a debt, or they say that I've been accused of tax fraud and that I should get a criminal attorney. I've told them to stop calling and that I know they are scam, but that doesn't seem to help. This number should really be blocked for the safety of your users as they are definitely trying to get money and some of them sound sort of legitimate at first.

Please block 888-398-7206, the IRS scam. The caller say he is from the audit office of the IRS and we are being sued for back taxes or fraud etc..... I received three calls today.

For Sonic staff -- does the musical beep at the beginning of a robot call tell voicemail to hang up rather than keep a record of the call?

(We for years used a little box at home that played a beep that told robocalls to disconnect -- maybe the robots are using that now, to avoid being on the record?)

No one cares, the telescammers are making too much money for everyone, including politicos, at a cost of about a penny a call. Try not to pick up the phone and just maybe that will help a little.
