I so wish this app wasn't nixed without a replacement. It was a simple way to view the inbox of a service I pay for. I miss it greatly & wish you would restore the App, Sonic.

As of the new year, the iOS App pops up a big bag of "nope".
So now for the first time I tried the link Dane provided, the voicemail "web app" under
membertools.
Dude, I love you guys, but srsly?
The 90's called and want their assumptions back - the membertools wants Flash, and thus won't work on
a modern mobile device. Even worse, if you click "download" instead of the silently broken
"play" button, a .wav file is sent, which won't play on iOS devices in mobile safari and is also huge.
Thunderbird doesn't like accessing the voicemail mailbox for some ridiculous reason, so thanks for that additional new inconvenience.
I'd also like to point out a fundamental security issue missing from the conversation, which
means functionality which is now LOST:
voicemail passwords for smartphone access
Previously, I could assign a password for the app, which was bound to each fusion phone number.
Thus, a renter could access voicemail. There is no way I am going to give my sonic member
credentials, and thus access to my email!!!, to someone for the purposes of listening to voicemail.
For those of us with Fusion service to multiple landline numbers, this is a dealbreaker.
There's a voicemail pin per number, and the app allowed a voicemail-app password per number.
That functionality is lost, like tears in the rain, and it makes me frowny.

I just discovered that it has been discontinued. I am very disappointed. Why not just leave it with all of it warts (if there are some) until you decide to find someone to pick it up. I have been so happy with Sonic, I'm really disappointed.

Very disappointed that they discontinued this mobile app which I used 4-5 time a week. You need to bring this back. When I called they stated that they sent out an email letting us know this was no longer available...never received the email.

I did receive an e-mail notifying me that the app would disappear, but I was hoping it meant that it would just be pulled from the app store but retain functionality. Nope!
I used it for two things: to forward my Fusion line to my cell when I was away from home and to delete voicemail. Would be great if there was still as simple a way to do those things (and no, using the web interface is not that simple; just having to log in each time makes it more difficult than the app, especially for those of us using nice secure passwords that are difficult to remember).
Of course, if you're bringing fiber to Vallejo soon, all will be forgiven...

I am sad to see the app go. Our company used it daily. It was great for us as we are a 24/7 Emergency business and really never had any problems with it. We used the call forwarding feature to assign the different project managers their "phone shift" without having to drive to our office and do it manually. Now that can't happen, as no one wants to drive to the office at midnight when their "phone shift" is over to manually transfer it to the next guy.
Please bring it back!

Everything that the app did can be done remotely from a smartphone today. Forwarding and the other line settings for example can be configured in the Member Tools - just bookmark the page:
https://members.sonic.net/voice/settings/
I hope this helps!

That's not true with iPhone. See some of the above emails.

Are you referring to playback of the WAV files in the /Voicemail folder? I've seen inconsistent reports and results myself. It works fine on my device, but clearly here we've seen reports of playback problems. I've also seen lots of conversations online in forums related to WAV audio playback. What iPhone model are you using, and what iOS version? For those also using iPhone or iPad devices, does voicemail playback via the email box work for you?

I wasn't, but first to that. On iOS, Mail plays back wav files in the /Voicemail LDAP folder.
Mobile Safari does _not_ play back wav files "Download"ed from the "Member Tools" voicemail web page.
The play button obvious fails because it relies on Flash.
The biggest, most serious loss of functionality to me is that the Fusion.app allowed per-line passwords to be provisioned, which were different from the password used to access member account data [and member email]. That password
seemed to work only for accessing voicemail and line settings with the Fusion app. Which was exactly what I wanted.
You have said there is no loss of functionality.
How do I go about providing credentials to each fusion landline number in my account, allowing that
number/credential pair to access line settings and voicemail but not _my_ account, billing info and email?
