Disappointed here as well.
I set up an install appointment.
In the interim I called Sonic to request just internet service with no "landline".
Rep said that this is the only package for 1 GB service and it had always been this way.
Next door neighbor has had Sonic 1 GB service for about 4 years; no "landline", no extra fees or taxes.
Cancelled install appointment.

Strong +1. I was just on the phone with a technical support rep who said that there are talks of data-only 1G, but no concrete timeline where that will be available. She also shared that 10G service will be data-only and cheaper than existing service, which is encouraging. It's just a shame that it's taken so long to get to this point.

Count me in. I don't need this service and would gladly pay the same price just for internet-only without the additional taxes and fees.

I am a new customer who received the first invoice and surprisingly got the voice junk fees on top of the advertised 49.99!

Count me in. I just saw my 1st bill and realized all the fees in there, in contrast to the advertised price. Very disappointing. Should have check the discussion here first before I signed up.

Got my bill and surprised to see all the taxes as well for something I don't even use. Sonic, I hope you are paying attention to this thread and provide an option to remove voice from the package.

Agreed, this is very disappointing and feels misleading.

I am very surprised to find my bill 38% higher than the price I was promised on the website. $49.99 intro price but the bill is $68.99? For all its faults, Comcast promised me $34.99 on their website and indeed they charged my $34.99, that's it.
Please get this part of your otherwise great act together. Remove the voice service for those who do not want it. I did not have any voice service on comcast. Why would I be mandated voice here. It's a fiber line.
