Thanks for the good answers to the first three, I can live with the scroll bars.
I am using Firefox 22.0.

Problem staying logged in. I get logged out after just 15 min - 30 min. I just got logged out while I was reading a message!! I always check "Stay logged in". Have Windows Vista and older version of Firefox. Glad to see a number of problems with the first beta version have been corrected but this log out problem is really annoying; looks like a number of other people have it as well.

I just posted to General that my auto-login now works. In other words, my p/w appears automatically in the logon window for the new email app. And it seems I am not kicked off unless I shut down or hibernate. I have W7 on an HP EliteBook.

PLEASE get rid of the blue background. The grey lettering nearly disappears into that color. Thank you for listening to our comments and concerns.

Hello,

I am an IE 8.0 user on Windows XP OS and have the following questions/ requests regarding the new webmail-

1. I am finding that it is not possible to execute the same “Move to. . .” function repeatedly. I tend to sort new messages into my file folders prior to opening. My inbox displays 50 messages per screen so I often move one lot of messages and then repeat after the list refreshes. When I want to move the next batch of messages to the SAME folder, nothing happens/ it doesn’t work. If I am moving the next batch of messages to a different folder than I did in the last round, it works right off.

Is this a setting issue on my part?

2. Can we get back the ability to manage the text formatting when composing outbound messages? I am really missing bold, italic, indent, bulleting, paragraph spacing, change type & size, etc. Wish the new and improved mail would’ve enhanced these features (similar to MS Word) rather than to completely eliminate the few options we had before. Hey, the functions available in the “Post A Reply” window of this forum are pretty cool. Can we throw those into the pot for consideration as well?

I don’t care for the new corporate color scheme & icons of the new interface at all but I am getting used to the functions very quickly. Thank you, thank you, thank you for the upgrade and for caring & supporting the users’ requests & opinions about it (pushing back the conversion date helped a lot). With so many options currently in the marketplace, it’s the professional-yet-home-town personality that’s kept me with Sonic.net for more than 8 years now. Don’t change too much (please). LOVE y’all!!

I'm speaking for more than myself. A whole lot of people I know are not liking your webmail changes. It's like you've gone retro in some of the applications! Some of us users aren't "Techheads" as their jobs require them to be people-oriented. In my case, my computer time is limited as I need to be out on the sales floor. I'm now forced to spend way too much time trying to muddle through the changes. I never used the original mail either so am signing on to both of them to get certain things done.

I don't understand why so many changes had to be made at once. Why couldn't you folks introduce one application change at a time? I'm sure the challenge of learning a new system is fun for those who are more technically inclined and who are in front of a computer on a regular basis but what you've done to non-tech people is awful!

I know I'm not the only person out there who feels this way as quite a few of my co-workers feel as I do.

@porterj3:

#1 is an issue that was reported recently. I've got it fixed in the development version and I'm just waiting on one or two other fixes before we push it live.

#2 Settings -> Preferences -> Composing Messages -> Compose HTML Messages should get you the options you seek.

This was one application change. Similar to getting a new car, you get a new steering wheel, new pedals, new seats, new everything. You're welcome to continue using the Squirrelmail interface at https://legacy-webmail.sonic.net/ or a local mail client (such as Thunderbird or K-9) if you prefer.

I am having issues with the "Reply All" - there is a drop down with 2 choices, I prefer one but the other is default so each time I need to do that extra step...is there a solution I can do myself or will it need to be added to the fix-it list for the app?
Thx -Arlie

Never mind my complaint! I looked deeper and it works as it should.

But now I cannot find out how to change the width of the columns in the email app. Anyone know how?
Thx
