It doesn't work for me either (WIN XP SP3, using Chrome Version 28.0.1500.72 m), don't use "remember password" so I have no feedback on that.Guest wrote:The new webmail is still requiring login several times in an evening, even when I have just been at a different tab in the same browser for a short time.

I have been very happy with SquirrelMail and will continue to use it. Thank-you for keeping it an option. One aspect I like is the ability to scroll down and see all my mail when clicking 'from' along with s'how-all', instead of just a limited number. If I need to search for certain items, this is by far the quickest way.
I tried it for the first time today and everyone in my address book has the last name "Conner." Freaky! I do have one friend with that last name but I don't know how she managed to carry it over to everyone else.
Really trying to like the new webmail, but it feels sluggish and missing many things I used to love, like easily opening multiple messages from my inbox into new tabs, checking a bunch of boxes and moving into folders (yes it looks like you can somewhat do this by right-clicking, but the menu is painful to use if you have more than 3 folders). Dragging? No thank you.
I would also occasionally want to open up in new tabs additional pages to see more than just the first 50 messages, so I could quickly tab between them looking for an old email, but there doesn't seem to be an equivalent way to do this. And, I keep getting logged out for some reason even though I have checked the box to stay logged-in. I think it's just too fancy when all I want is quick and simple. If I wanted fancyness and drag and drop, I'd use a native email client. Squirrel mail was perfect the way it was.

Sorry, I meant Nuts Mail was what I missed, not Squirrel Mail. Is this still around?
Nutsmail, Atmail, and Squirrelmail have all been removed from webmail.sonic.net. Squirrelmail has been moved to legacy-webmail.sonic.net. Nutsmail and Atmail are no longer provided by Sonic.net.

No, the Nutsmail option has been retired. It was similar to Squirrelmail, and there was a significant customer sentiment for retaining that old platform. It's not practical for us to maintain many platforms concurrently - we'd hoped we could get to a single deployment, but were convinced for a number of reasons to retain the Squirrelmail interface.Santa Rosa Customer wrote:Sorry, I meant Nuts Mail was what I missed, not Squirrel Mail. For any webmail users, I would certainly encourage you to consider using a local IMAP client on your PC, Mac or device. The responsiveness and usability of a local client will always be better than any web based solution. Support can assist with client software/device settings.

Just encountered the new webmail application. How does one flag emails for easy finding. My prior flagged emails still show, but I cannot find any way to flag new ones, HELP!!
Is this the forum for requests for changes in new webmail?
If so, here are mine -
1.Make my login and P/W always entered on my computer (as in past webmail apps) so I don't have to re-login EVERY TIME. The need for complex passwords is hard to manage or remember, I have so many.
2. Too many scroll bars.
3. When I reply, the cursor jumps to the very bottom of the message, make it jump to the top.
4. When I delete one or more messages by using the checkbox, a check remains in the next message, causing me to sometimes delete unread or important messages.
If these are things I need to configure, tell me how.
Thanks!

It's a pretty good venue for that purpose, I think. Open discussion of these things is often productive.ajhaig wrote:Is this the forum for requests for changes in new webmail?
I don't have an ETR on this, but our team is aware of this problem. I personally have an obnoxiously-long password and am affected by it too.ajhaig wrote:If so, here are mine -

I get three; one for my folder listing, one for my message listing, and one for the preview pane. Would you prefer a single scroll bar that makes everything shift around?ajhaig wrote: 2. Too many scroll bars.
This is configurable. Go to Settings->Preferences->Composing Messages->When Replying and select "start new message above the quote."ajhaig wrote: 3. When I reply, the cursor jumps to the very bottom of the message, make it jump to the top.
Which browser are you seeing this behavior in? I was unable to reproduce this behavior just now.ajhaig wrote: 4. When I delete one or more messages by using the checkbox, a check remains in the next message, causing me to sometimes delete unread or important messages.
