I have received two calls from (707) 823-9965 (a number when called is a number that is disconnected or no longer in service). A recorded voice by caller appears to be attempting to solicit business by offering discounted vacation package, appears to be live, yet is not. The call is, IMHO, highly suspect and appears to be a surreptitious means of defrauding the public through calculated deceptive, misleading and spurious methods.

Please report to FBI and block this number.

323-654-4823 has been calling me almost daily. I am on the national 'Do Not Call' list, but this number keeps calling me. When I answer it says they are 'healthcare services'. Please block this number from my phone line and thanks so much!

Is that also the start of your phone number? If so, likely you are a victim of neighbor spoofing, where the scammers send fake caller ID that has the same area code and prefix as yours, hoping that you'll suspect the call is coming from a neighbor and will be more likely to call it.

The problem with blocking those numbers is that the people you mentioned are victims. Their numbers are being spoofed through no fault of their own. But they shouldn't be blocked, as the scammers have already moved on to other numbers, and the people who really have those numbers shouldn't be blocked from making legitimate calls. Who knows--your number may have been or will be spoofed, and someone else may be trying to get your number blocked!

Since I don't know anyone with the same area code/prefix as my number, I just ignore them. If anyone is calling me legitimately, s/he can leave a message on my voice mail.
