The following phone number from LDTS appears to be the number of a fraudulent company, according to Sean K. of Sonic Support: 954-376-6058
Hello Elaine,
LDTS is in no way affiliated with us. I did a quick search and cannot find a legitimate company by that name. LDTS is a common acronym for long distance telephone service, but not an actual company.
This sounds like a scam to collect personal information from you. The phone number that called you is located in Florida.
Our operations team takes these kinds of reports and investigates them to add to our block list. To prevent this number from calling you or any other customer please report it to forums.sonic.net and someone from our operations team will look into it for you.
Thank you for choosing Sonic.net!

To Sonic Support:
This morning a man, Joe with LDTS, called me stating that his company was the main company for my telephone bill. (I have sonic.net as my phone company.)
He said that he was calling to notify me of the lowering of my phone rate. He said that currently I do not have unlimited long distance phone expenses (but in fact, I do have unlimited long distance phone calls). He also asked me if I am between the ages of 16 and 80, which I am, and he also quoted my address for verification.
Then he wanted to transfer me to someone who would verify my answer to several questions, to which I was supposed to answer "yes" to all of them.
I told him I did not know what that was all about and that I was going to contact my phone company (which is sonic.net). He was very aggressive and hardly let me get a word in edgewise.
Is LDTS legitimate? Are they connected with sonic.net?
Is all this a scam? My caller ID said the call was from LDTS and gave the number as 954-376-6858.
Would much appreciate your please advising me about all this.

I have received 15 calls from Caller ID "CAMBRIA CA" so far this month of August. If I answer, there is no-one there and it eventually disconnects. If I don't answer it hangs up when it receives my answer machine beep. This is very creepy and I have no idea who/what this is. These calls have come from two slightly different numbers: 805-203-9157 and 805-203-9131. Thank you for your help, Sonic.net member
619-819-7073 San Diego Rings but nobody there.
6312777025 "Marketing Inc." "survey".
800-238-2727 identified by Caller ID screen as "ADT Security"
rang once, let go to voicemail -- left an empty message
rang back again, let it go to voicemail again
NOT necessarily a number to block
According to 'oogle, it is an ADT corporate number, that makes lots of machine calls to people who shouldn't be called.
Reportedly ADT thinks they're calling a registered customer to notify that their alarm system has gone off and may also have called the police for that number -- seems they have a lot of typos in their system.
Noting it here in case it's a fake caller-id, in case other Sonic customers are also seeing the same calls.

Please block facebook. Some ghouls on dropzone.org are messing with my sonic emails.
We also received a call from this number this morning. It's reportedly a telemarketer:dmail wrote:616-980-2030 They want to lower my credit card rate.
