Don't call back to 876 to check up on them - it is an area code in Jamaica. Sonic's rate is $0.25/min.

Area code 876 is the area code for Jamaica, and is one of the most common areas for telemarketing scams. Due to the ongoing nature and the number of Jamaican telemarketing scams, law enforcement agencies in the U.S. and Jamaica work together in a project called JOLT (Jamaican Operations Linked to Telemarketing). The purpose of JOLT is to try to shut down these telemarketing scams in Jamaica that target US citizens.

Got woken up at 5AM by the classic "The IRS is going to prosecute you for not paying your taxes" in a woman's automated voice.

REALLY want these calls to stop. We are getting much more of these after switching to Sonic than we did with ATT, so please do something!

But that number is PG&E's legitimate number. It's being spoofed by the scammers. If Sonic blocks incoming calls with that number, then the legitimate calls also get blocked.

Yeah, I got calls reporting to be from that number and so I looked it up - it is PG&E's real number. It should NOT be blocked.
