I too recently joined Sonic on 8/28 thinking that they may be better than cable folks. Kinda worried now because I too already paid for the first moth's fees and this morning I see that the next bill is already due on 9/20! Yet, I still have had no communication back about from anyone as to when the installation date is. No equipment, no service, yet they've set a next bill date already? Not liking this so far. Shouldn't I be billed from the first day of having actual service after the installation has been completed? And here's the catch, if I decide to back out of this, I only have exactly 30 days to do so, otherwise there's that fee for early termination. Geez, we can't seem to win no matter whom we choose. Let's see what the next couple of days brings. I hope someone at Sonic gets it together and this comes together better than it started.

I checked and a tech support rep emailed you at 2:45pm, please reply to that email or call in (707.547.3400) if you have any additional questions about your bill. Just to give you a little more information, our system is querying for confirmation of the install date/window every 2 hours and will (automatically) email you as soon as we receive that confirmation. Thanks for your understanding and thanks for choosing Sonic!

You will also receive a prorated credit for everyday between the day your ordered and the day you are actually up and running. We wouldn't charge you for downtime.
As for the 30 day grace period, that also begins on the day you are up and running as opposed to the day you order.

My experience has so far been similar to others. Today is the 9th business day since I placed my order but still no email or communication.
I just got off the phone with a Sonic rep & they apologized for being behind on installations. She at least gave me a date of 9/10. Its still too long for a self install. I hope things look up once im connected.

I think Sonic has now improved on how they set expectations.
I ordered Fusion FTTN service online and the email I received said it would take one week to get an install date. Exactly one week later, I received another email with my install date and time window. A few days later, I received the Sonic voice phone adapter.
AT&T showed up right on time to get my service installed. I didn't even have to phone Sonic once.
