Thanks! Hm, sorry it doesn't seem to have worked, I still can't access update-core.php off the main admin - same error as before.

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Apache/1.3.41 Server at aboutdisability.com Port 80

I have the same problem. I have tried changes to the .htaccess file with no success. Any suggestions?

@jpleb: Your .htaccess file seems to have disappeared - I've dropped a fresh copy into your web directory for vectorpoem.com - hopefully that will fix any problems that remain - if not, I have another idea that may work.

@nielsj: I've updated your .htaccess for aboutdisability.com as well. Please try running updates - if they fail, let me know, as you may be running into the same issue - most likely a missing file in the install.

Thanks for taking a look.

My site is not aboutdisability.com.
It is http://nielsj.users.sonic.net/3099

The changes you made did not fix the errors.

Niels,

My mistake - I had thought the error belonged to that site due to the last line you included. I've added the missing lines in your .htaccess file for the 3099 directory. All the files appear to be correct, so you should be able to run the update now.

Thanks. Okay, now when I try to access the same update page, I get a blank page that says, simply (no error code):
No input file specified.

@jpleb: I didn't realize your blog was in a subfolder - I updated the .htaccess in there to match what Wordpress recommends + the PHP5 lines. (The old copy was manually referencing a CGI script that doesn't exist anymore.)

Hi,

Still not working for me.

I have another question. When I go to my blog, I go to this page: http://nielsj.users.sonic.net/3099/
When I use Filezilla to look at the blogs files, I go to /nfs/WWW_pages/smoaveni/nielsj/3099

Long ago this blog was under my own account. At some point I closed this account, and now it is under my father in laws account, smoaveni. The .htaccess file under the location above does not look like it has been changed, but maybe I am looking at the wrong one.

That seems to have fixed it, thank you so much for all the help!

Niels,

Thank you for including the extra information on the path - I've updated the .htaccess file there as well as the one at /nfs/WWW_pages/nielsj/3099. I believe the latter is the live version.
