The FaxLine tool will let you pick a new number when you set it up. Start here:

when you say "but if you move it to Fusion, perhaps this results in a two-line bonded Fusion setup that offers very fast access" i do have one should i call sonic support level 1 on what the next steps or for further explanation?
Yes, I'd suggest ringing support - if you've got Fusion voice and broadband from us, PLUS AT&T voice (for your fax) and DSL), converting this to two-line Fusion would make the most sense.

Then, because Fusion includes call forwarding, you could forward the "fax" number to your newly assigned FaxLine number.

Make sense? :)

Thanks for a great new feature. I tested by sending myself a fax. Just one page of a multi-page PDF came through. Will that be the norm? Or am I misunderstanding what's going on? (In my test, PDF to PDF replicates e-mail, no?)

Let's hope the fax spam filters work as well as those of Apple, Gmail, and Yahoo have for me. Until that becomes clear I've chosen the receiving fax address accordingly.

Are any numbers for Los Angeles going to come soon?

The almost complete fax finally made it through, though missing a few pages. Yes, it was a large file.

Full fax (all pages) just arrived. Included a "debug-info.txt" file, which seems unnecessary.

The PDF file I submitted included text and many photos. Am wondering if the dark/lightness can be adjusted in the lighter direction. Though the dark reproductions I received could have to do with the file I submitted.
