Hello Sonic, I have been a Sonic customer since was a kid and I have been very pleased with your services. However, you only offer dialup service in my area, and the new webmail platform loads prohibitively slow on dialup. Can you please leave an old webmail platform for us dialup users? If not, I will be forced to switch to another company. Thanks, Milo Mitchel

Milo, are you using the dial-up accelerator?

Yes I am. I'm going to try loading the beta on a different browser to see if that helps.

I haven't tested it myself on a slow speed connection but some effort has gone into making sure that all of the cache control options are setup to maximize client side caching. It should also faster to use the preview pane to read your mail - this will result in less data transmission between the web servers and your client since the entire page doesn't need to be rewritten.

i can't seem to import my current address book (saved as a CSV file as you require) into the new interface . . . Afraid to lose all my contacts come the new UI deadline. Help?

All of the contacts should have been automatically migrated the first time you logged in. Did that not work correctly for you? Also, please note that the new client currently only accepts importing address books in the vcard format although CSV support should be added when it is upgraded to the next release.

Pretty slick, guys.

I especially like the ability to drag and drop messages from the list pane to the folders and the instantaneous update of the list pane, when a message arrives.

I would like to brighten things up a bit. Will there be more control over the color scheme?

All the best,

Michael Eisen

yes michael, you can have any color you want, as long as it's gray.

I don't think we're going to be opening up the hood to put knobs and dials on everything, though I expect we'll have a couple of skins to pick from and higher contrast for many interface elements.

Is there some way to delete a bunch of email at the same time? I can't figure it out. In the old webmail interface, I could check a lot of email on the left and delete them altogether rather than individually. Now I can only delete them individually, which takes a lot more time. Sorry if I'm being dense.
