Stupid question. I am in a condo in santa ana and will HOPEFULLY be available for fusion later this year via sonics partnership with DSL extreme. Currently i don't have POTS phone server and never had since i moved in. There are phone jacks in wall but not dialtone. I am assuming that i am just not connected to the phone box on the out side of my condo complex. What kind of extra trouble or fees am i looking at when i order fusion? Do i just need to tell them and someone from ATT will come and hook up my line or do i need to call att myself and pay for something or what?

Santa Ana is not currently in our Fusion footprint, so we aren't in a position to provide service there with DSL Extreme or otherwise.

Generally speaking, however, when service is available the costs of getting the copper loop to your premises, including installation of a NID if necessary, is part of the activation fee and installation fees. Just because the ILEC didn't have a pair running to your unit doesn't leave you on the hook for extra costs.
