Looks like there is sonic construction happening on Boas Dr. 95409 today. Is there anyway I can get more information and/or make sure my house is on the list to get service? The street has a weird mix of underground and aerial utilities (for instance, my house has underground utilities fed to a pole in my yard that then comes to my house via aerial). Happy to pay to bring a service drop to my house!!!

I'm also in Santa Rosa (95401) and I'm one of several homes where utilities are fed pole to underground. Everything to the east is on poles.

I noticed Sonic was running fiber all over the neighborhood and talked to one of their installers. They said they could certainly pull fiber to my house but I needed to call sales. Called Sonic sales and was told by the guy that the installers are often 'misinformed' and my chance of ever having Sonic fiber at this address is basically 0%. He said they are not pulling fiber to underground fed homes whether there's room in the conduit or not - pole only.

A bit disappointing for sure. The installer was a pleasure to talk to, the sales guy and his tone not so much. Certainly a bit different than what I was used to when communicating with Sonic in the past but oh well, guess I'll be sticking with Comcast.

Hello,

I apologize that the experience with our sales team wasn't what was expected. We definitely always aim for interactions with our staff to be as informative and pleasant as possible. As for the info given, there are many reasons why we may or may not be able to service a specific address including permitting issues, physical limitations on poles and/or conduit, easement issues, etc. The only real way for us to know is by looking up the exact address, so in that regard calling our sales or support teams and giving us the address so we can check is generally the best call, if you'd like to DM me your address I'd also be more than happy to look into it for you! All that being said, early construction starts long before we can place orders for specific addresses, so even though you are seeing construction happen in the area we might still be quite a ways off from an actual go live date. I hope this was helpful, I am sorry I couldn't provide you with a more definitive answer. Please let us know if you have any further questions, and I hope you have a great rest of your day!
Thank you,
Max
