I have grandfathered ATT fiber service. Is there any reason to not discontinue Sonic grandfathered service and get ATT fiber service directly from ATT?

Hello, This is a good question. There are a few reasons sticking with the the service through Sonic is beneficial. The first and most straight forward is simply that you get to call Sonic support when you have questions or issues with the service. Typically Sonics customer support is considered much higher quality than what you will get from AT&T. Response times are also typically faster. Another (potentially) big reason is that there is no data cap through Sonic with this service. If you order the service direct through AT&T there is a monthly data cap that you have to pay extra monthly to get rid of. This can be a big deal depending on if you pass a lot of traffic in a month or not. I also went ahead and looked up the service you have through AT&T and it looks like they are charging 80 dollars a month before taxes and fees (assuming you don't get some kind of special discount) so it doesn't look like you would save much if anything making the switch. Of course we always want you to make the decision that is best for you. Hopefully this was helpful in making a decision. Please let us know if you have any questions regarding specifics of the plan you are on.
Thank you,

When I moved out of a house with Sonic IPBB (e.g., AT&T lines), AT&T would not hook up service for the buyer until 30 days had elapsed from when my "Sonic" service was terminated. The OP may want to check whether this policy still exists..
