Plugging Sonic Fiber into Ubiquiti Gateway SFP Port

I'm ordering a Ubiquiti setup including a Dream Machine Pro Max, and about to have Sonic 10G installed.

What SFP+ optical module would I need to directly connect the Sonic fiber to the Dream Machine, avoiding the Sonic ONT?

Are there any guides to the SFP+ module specs and configuration required?

ATT says the same thing, but there are ways to program an SFP+ optical transceiver to comply with their network requirements. I can't imagine it's not possible with Sonic.

While it may be theoretically possible, please don't attempt this. There's no advantage to you to having the fiber terminated in an SFP vs in our ONT and handed off over copper 1 or 10gbe apart from a few watts of extra power consumption.

There really isn't much reason to do this. I say this as someone who has had both AT&T and Sonic fiber for years.

The AT&T gateways suck, so that's why people like to bypass them. I had tons of problems with the old AT&T 5268 gateway. Bypassing that thing was wonderful. The BGW210 was slightly better, but still had issues. The BGW320s have been pretty solid by all accounts but use quite a bit of juice. So, there are various reasons to get rid of any of them.

Sonic's ONTs are a very different thing. They're much simpler, barely use any power, and have been rock solid in my experience.

Also, I haven't kept up on the programable SFP+ modules that people are using to bypass the AT&T gateways; but last time I checked, they were 2-3 times the cost of a UI SFP+ to RJ45 Adapter.
