Hi,
I am planning to buy TP-Link Deco AX5000 Mesh Wi-Fi to connect with Sonic internet system. Will it work/compatible with Sonic? What would you suggest.

Thanks

Yes, TP Link Deco mesh is compatible with Sonic fiber. All you need to do is connect the ethernet cable from the ONT to one of the two available ethernet ports available on the back of one of the Deco devices and follow the steps to set up your Deco mesh wi-fi system using the Deco app.

It does not work with Sonic, I had to return this system, its trash and will not get an IP. Tired multiple cables rebooted everything. I can get an IP right to my PC from the Sonic ONT, but not this router. I don't know what to recommend either. I'm trying other options now. Don't buy this system.

Interesting.
I would not expect TP Link nor sonic to do anything non standard so they should interoperate.

What could have happenend is sonic will assign an ip to devices connected to the ONT but the number of devices you can connect is small (around 5 i think) before the table is full.
This is why it's recommend to use a router that does DHCP and NAT so your devices use a local IP and only the router get a public facing IP address from sonic.

Ive just purchased a TP-Link Deco AXE5400 and am having a hard time connecting it to the internet even as I have 1gb connection via ethernet on my computer. I always end up with red signal light. Anyone with an idea of how to connect?
