Has Sonic ever converted a geographic group of customers with 1 Gbit service to the 10 Gbit service?
If Sonic has done this, please tell me where it has happened and when.
And I invite Sonic management to reply to discuss the matter of conversion in general.
Like most Sonic Fiber customers, I'm on the 1 Gbit service that includes a phone line. I don't need the phone line, which represents about $22 of my monthly Sonic bill:
$10.00 for the service
$6.50 for Subscriber Line Charge
$3.28 for Universal Service Fund Fee
$0.91 for 9-1-1 Emergency Surcharge
$1.72 for Voice Regulatory Recovery Surcharge
I'm waiting for Sonic to offer my neighborhood the 10 Gbit fiber service, not because I need the speed but because the 10 Gbit service is provided without a mandatory voice line, and would thus save me money.
