Sonic in Hayward?

Curious if anyone has any information on if they are actually going to bring their network to Hayward. The fiber status tool shows pre-construction and I don't think it's moved in the 2+ years I have been on the waiting list. Castro Valley has been rolling out for awhile now and I know a lot of people that are up and running. Anyone have any information their Hayward plan?

Hayward has been a slow project due to permitting delays and limitations there, but it is moving among as fast as possible at this point. We expect first service deliveries in January.

Some cities allow construction faster than others, it is unique to the local situation in each.

Are you sure for January 2025? Just got a construction update, the date is now moved to March 2025.

He said they expect to deliver first services in January, not that all of Hayward would be done and ready

I should not have checked the work status. Each time I check, it moves back 2 months. After my last post, it moved to another 6 months. Now is September 2025.

I’ve seen some Sonic trucks in my neighborhood in Hayward; hoping that means things are moving along. Is there a breakdown of progress or expected progress by zip code? That would be super helpful.

I forgot about this for a while, just checked again and now it's saying September 2025... Which is quite insane to be waiting since September 2023. Two whole years!! Why even advertise service if you don't have concrete information or dates?! I think I will have to cancel now. There's a good chance we are moving. What a waste of time and energy.
