I called AT&T to inquire about fiber internet, but they basically told me they couldn't service my house with fiber or any other sort of technology. Is comcast the only option now? I hope not. I suppose there is starlink too, but that's pretty expensive.
My understanding is that AT&T phone line connections in the UUD-48 space will be serviced via fiber when the new lines are pulled. You should have an option for either Comcast or AT&T, although AT&T is not available until the new connections are made. Comcast is the assured continuous hard-wire service. I believe there are also 5G wireless options - but they vary depending on a site by site basis in terms of quality and availability - given the topography of the hills.
