We live in a property with a second, separate apartment which we are likely to rent out. We would like the tenants to be able to get their own, independent Sonic Fiber service. There is currently one fiber running to the property.

Is there a way to get a second ONU active at the same site, either by running a second fiber or using a passive optical splitter at the home?

So long as the secondary apartment has it's own designation (i.e APT x, Unit x, Front/Lower, etc.) and our drop crew team determines it's feasible to run another drop from the telephone pole to the building, it should be possible to install a separate service there with it's own ONT.

This means that, for example, it has its own postal mailing address like 123B Main Street, with the rest of the building being 123 Main Street?

Right now it doesn't have a separate mailing address but we've been considering establishing one before seeking tenants.

You should be able to just enter the designation (Unit B as an example) on the sign-up page and it should go through. The designation just informs us that it's a separate unit. If it was the exact same address as your current service, there would be conflict with the system since service is already active there.
