Blog still a bit broke -- something with the SSL certificate?

Greetings (again),

Thanks to the kind Joe Muller, my blog is up and running again! However ... I'm getting the following error messages when I try to view the blog stats:

User Agent: "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/131.0.0.0 Safari/537.36"
Page URL: "http://metaphorager.net/test/wp-admin/a ... &width=958"
API URL: "https://dashboard.wordpress.com/wp-admi ... 75&j=1:6.5"
http_request_failed: "cURL error 60: SSL certificate problem: unable to get local issuer certificate"

And also this, when I try to access Jetpack, which looks like the same problem:

Outbound HTTPS not working
Your site could not connect to WordPress.com via HTTPS. This could be due to any number of reasons, including faulty SSL certificates, misconfigured or missing SSL libraries, or network issues.

Jetpack will re-test for HTTPS support once a day, but you can click here to try again immediately: Try again WordPress reports no SSL support

For more help, try our connection debugger or troubleshooting tips.

Any idea what I can do to fix this? I'm currently running (Wordpress 5.1.19, if that helps - I was unable to install WP 6.7.1.)

Thank you, and be well,

Neal

Hi Neal,

I've got a few of the Ops folks taking a look at your issue, so hopefully we can get a fix in by the end of the week. From what I've gathered so far, this is due to one or more local Certificate Authority (CA) certs being out-of-date -- our web hosting servers are running a much older OS than the rest of our fleet, so they don't automatically get updates to SSL libraries (for communicating with other servers) or certificates.

Wow, Joe -- again, many thanks. (And at after 5 on Xmas Eve, no less!) Looking forward to a swift resolution, but not so swift that it impedes your holiday celebration/s. This really means a lot to me, and apparently will help others to boot. Couldn't ask for better from my longtime favorite (and only) ISP!

Be well, and happy holiday/s,

Neal

Hi Joe,

Any luck yet with my SSL certificate issue at http://metaphorager.net, as referenced above? (I know you all must be busy; please let me know when you can.)

Be well,

Neal
