Hey folks,

Have 1Gb and this is speed tests on my eero router.

Looks like the cap is set to ~94Mpbs

Last week it dropped all the way to 3-4Mpbs, so I had to call support and they sent "firmware update" to the modem, restarted it and speed recovered to 1Gb, but now it is back to 94Mpbs.

Not cool

How 'bout you tell people what you have!! Sonic doesn't throttle traffic.

Seems like a bad network cable and/or port where it's negotiating at 100mbps.

Hey there,

I'm sorry to hear that you've been experiencing slow speeds recently. We definitely do not throttle speeds for our customers, so I think there is an issue somewhere that needs to be fixed. I looked over your line and the Fiber signal/light is rock solid up our ONT (Fiber modem) and the negotiated handoff speeds is showing 1gbps to the router. Unfortunately, I can't remotely login to the Eero to check things there as you are using your own Eeros. However, I would try swapping the Ethernet cable from the ONT to your Eero if possible. If the speeds are still showing as slow in the Eero app, then I would suggest powercycling the Eero if you haven't already.

If all else fails, I would like to ship out our own rental Eeros as a testing period and waive the rental fees on it for a month, so that we can get more insight into the network. Using a new Eero will also help narrow down if the issue is with your personal Eero itself or possibly an issue with our Fiber modem's port. In which case, we can send out a technician to replace it at that point.

I will send you an email with my contact info in the event that the basic troubleshooting I suggested doesn't work, then I can get a rental Eero shipped out to you and waive the fee on it and go from there.

Kind regards,
Brandon C.
