There is a truck a block away from me doing an install as I type this, but when I call for an update all I get is "coming soon to my address". When? Why can no one give me any real information?

If you're doing anything on your end to ensure the folks in this thread have smooth rollout please add us to the list.

We were long-time Sonic customers growing up and then again after I moved out, eventually getting the fiber. After moving we're stuck with Comcast and the experience has been much much worse.
Ill do what I can. Your area is also in the same boat from the look of it.

Best Wishes!
Checking in to see if we are still on track for December. Our Comcast connection goes out multiple times per day and I have given up on trying to get them to fix it, so I'm really hoping we can switch to Sonic soon.
I am pleased to report that we got our installation notification today which answers my question, so no need for anybody to respond here.

Thank you for reaching out! I am sorry to hear about the installation delays. I was able to talk to the Project Manager in the area, and it does seem we are very close to finishing up our construction in your area. We are waiting on a few things to finish up before being able to move with full installations. Once these things clear up, we will send you an email to get an installation date set up!

Please check your next invoice. Thank you for your many years of being a Sonic customer.

Best Wishes!
@jerrielm

Any chance you can get me a similar projected timeline on installs near Forest Ave in Castro Valley?

I'm pretty confident main lines are already installed, so don't understand why it's still in PLANNING status...

I talked to one of the guys out with the trucks installing lines, and he confirmed that he's done installs on literally every block surrounding mine, but I'm still "coming soon". Does anyone from Sonic reply to these forums anymore? What's wrong with my block?

Hi @jerrielm

I'm a bit confused about my staus. The sign up page states that I am eligible for upto 10 Gigs. But the email states that I am pre ordered and not ordered. I see Sonic trucks/activity in my neighbourhood but the Fiber status tool states that my address is still in planning. Is there anyway I can get a clearer picture? My Comcast contract is up and I cannot wait to switch but I am not sure if I should wait for Sonic or renew and check back a year later.
