I'm closer to Marshall and when I checked our status today it has moved to December. I don't recall when we pre-ordered but I anticipated at least a year. It's probably been 1.5 years so far.

My wife migrated our household to ATT's 300 Mb package over a year ago to get a better price. Shortly after that I found out Sonic allowed pre-ordering at CV so my wife did so.

It's not the end of the world for us but I empathize with those who have experienced delay after delay.

I'm slowly in the process of migrating my current configuration to 10 Gb firewall.

just got Sonic Fiber installed today, live near Lake Chabot Rd/Sydney Way.

so far I can only got 100-200 Mbps (U/D). I have TP-link M4R routers. The guy who installed the service show me 1gbps on his laptop. I was told some adaptor is needed to support the 10gbps.

Nice, mine is coming soon to install. Regarding your wifi/router/mesh, you need a newer system that has 2.5 Gbps Ethernet ports (at least 1) to take advantage of the speed. Your system has a 1 gbps ports.

Hell has frozen over!

After waiting 12 and a half years (DSL service was ordered in April of 2012), Sonic fiber optic cable has finally came to my house! Today, they installed fiber down the street and to my premises. On November 4, there is an appointment scheduled to run the line indoors and set me up with the ONT modem. I'm really happy so far.

I have an Amazon Eero 7 which can accept an Ethernet connection of up to 10G (I only use 2.5G) so my indoor setup should be already ready to go to take the increased speed of a fiber optic connection. I can't wait!

Here's the busy Sonic trucks on our street in Castro Valley, early this morning. It's hard to see in the photo, but there were 3 trucks working on this street at the same time!

Here's the side of my house where all the data connections come in: Comcast cable, Sonic fiber (the coiled black cables near the roof line), and TV antenna!

The fiber isn't installed on the inside of the house yet. I'm glad they ran a long length of fiber to the house, so they have enough to work with when trying to get it ran inside.

Hello,

Last Wednesday Sonic fiber installation; went great. Technician called me to show up 2 1/2 hours earlier than noon (guess their morning scheduled appt dropped somewhere else) so I'm free all day for installation day. No complain on that.

I told technician that there old AT&T VDSL rj-11 slot that unused since AT&T Fiber gone live ~7 years ago. It can be removed and run the Sonic fiber thru same hole, no new hole drill necessary.

Ran Fiber at crawlspace under floor along where AT&T Fiber / COAX are... no complication task. Installation took 1 and half hours. Technician bought the laptop with 10gbe adapter, took speedtest and result are good. Installation completed and they left. So they did good jobs.

I just configured UDM Pro to using Sonic ISP, with 10Gtek SFP+ 10g and ran speedtest-cli on 10g WAN.

IPV4 and IPV6 working. LAN network are still 1g for now. UDM PRO + U7 Pro AP

Configured Pi-Hole + unbound to using Sonic DNS servers.

Rocking solid so far. Never looking back after switched from AT&T Fiber.

This is going to sound weird, but were they installing over the last two days and your dog was barking nonstop? I don't hear the dog today lol. I think we're all getting it around the same time.

Cool, are you close by? I'm near the Community Center park. My dog barked during Halloween, and briefly when the installation was being done, but other than that, he's been a good boy. Maybe it was another dog that was barking nonstop? For all these reasons, there's been a lot of dog barking recently in the area.
