@senseabove @todd.rising

We are looking at a December go-live date. We will keep you updated via email on when exactly we will have installation dates set for you guys. Hopefully, this is the last push back we see. (Fingers crossed and 3 toes)

Best Wishes!

Sonic - is the December date for everyone in El Cerrito, or just certain areas? I'm an existing customer near Potrero and Richmond. Has the December date been announced anywhere? It's frustrating that the only way to get real updates is to post to a forum.

December!?

Are you KIDDING me? The Fiber Status tool still shows September 2024! What is the point of the tool if it's never going to be accurate!?

I am beyond upset! We have been holding off moving from Sonic to a cheaper AT&T plan because Sonic keeps promising that fiber is "just around the corner", and now we're being told December? Just be HONEST and tell us you have no concrete date!! This has been an AWFUL CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE. I'm at the point where I'm going to submit a complaint to the California DCA and the AG's office, because this has turned into bait and switch, pure and simple!

I signed up for Sonic because your company supposedly didn't do shady things like Comcast or AT&T, and here you are stringing us along!

@sadiegoy Yes, most the this area is looking to be december timeframe. Ill see what we can do about updating the Fiber status tool.

@ jessieandrob I know this is extremely frustrating. I have been hounding our teams on our side to get better updates out to our customers. Luckily, even if they are slow, being able to look up the addresses and get a more exact timeframe(Since I'm going to each Project Manager in the area and asking for an update) is still decent.

The December date is one of the best dates I have had in a while, and from what I can see, we are on track to meet it. I know I have said this a few times in the past, but this date has a lot more of a leg to stand on.

Im sorry you feel you need to escalate this to higher powers that be. I understand. I can certainly say that we are not stringing people along and there are a lot more details we are unable to share that are causing delays. Please bare with us while we move towards getting installation set up for customers.

Best Wishes!

Ok, thank you, jerrielm — it helps to know a more human-centered take on what to expect and when. I appreciate your looking into it! And I appreciate what Sonic stands for, thank you!

@jerrielm Thank you for the El Cerrito updates, hoping this applies to us too.

If you're doing anything on your end to ensure the folks in this thread have smooth rollout please add us to the list.

We were long-time Sonic customers growing up and then again after I moved out, eventually getting the fiber. After moving we're stuck with Comcast and the experience has been much much worse.

Ill do what I can. Your area is also in the same boat from the look of it.
