I'm in St Mary's Park but that's close enough to piggyback on this thread, right?

I believe that Sonic fiber is on Bosworth, east of San Jose Ave, and have recently have seen some technicians (unsure who they work for, but not the obvious Sonic labeled trucks) at the Mission/Bosworth-Murray intersection and at the ATT junction box on Murray where the old KFC used to be (have had some short loss of service issues since I've seen the technicians but connectivity comes back within 5 mins).

A few telephone poles have been replaced in the last two years years as well, so I know they can handle a new line.

Any chance of an update for the St. Mary's Park, a sub-neighborhood in the greater Bernal Heights neighborhood?

And now I am here in Sept 2024.

About a month back I directly reached out to Sonic about an update and received a somewhat generic reply with a note about there not being overhead access ('telephone/power' poles) and SF not allowing microtrenching.

I replied back that the poles are in the back and sent a Google Streetview image clearing showing them.

Sonic thanked me for that information but little else was forthcoming.

Checking this thread today, there was a note about Mission Street crossing at 3798 Mission and something more about Sonic lines along Cresent St.

I am closer 4000 Mission (at Bosworth) where there is another Mission Steet crossing with a AT&T box on either side of Mission and I have seen Sonic trucks on the west (Bosworth) side and the new fiber lines are clearly up.

In the past 6 months, new poles have been installed in the St Marys Park (micro)neighborhood, so they should be able to handle new fiber lines.

So, if that is the case, and there is a Mission St crossing at Cresent, any idea when there would be a crossing at Bosworth (4000 Mission St)?

The go live dates are set for the end of each month. You should see a change by the end of August, if not sooner. (Or me being super optimistic and believing fiber will be ready this month)
Sorry for the late reply. It seems the date got moved back. We are still working with the city to get an ADA ramp approved and with MUNI to get lines set up.

Best Wishes!

Hello!

Checking your address, there are no current plans to bring fiber to your block. We are always looking to expand our services and hopefully, we will have news of us bring fiber to your area soon!

Best Wishes!

How about up on the south side of Bernal Hill? I've been seeing the projected install date as being at the end of the month for a several months now. Any color on what the delay is here? I'm patient in any case!

Hello!

ADA ramping is on the final strech of being approved and we are just waiting for permitting. Sadly, no real timeline yet.

Best Wishes!

Meanwhile, our existing DSL speed today is atrocious (click Attachments)...

Gotta love living in the tech cradle of 'Murica.

Hi @jerrielm — I wanted to follow up again on my message from last month. Here's my question again:

I am wondering if you know when the north side of Bernal near Precita Park might become eligible for upgrade to 10Gbps. More specifically, I'm wondering about Harrison Street between Precita Ave and Norwich St.

Is the timeline for 10Gbps upgrade availability on the North side of Bernal connected in any way to this timeline for expansion to the South side of Bernal? Or are these two things totally separate projects?

Thanks in advance for any clarity you can offer here.

What's the cross street? I'm south of Cortland on banks and it shows October.
