I was trying to understand what my IPv6 configuration is from the Sonic side, since I'm doubting that I got it set up correctly on my side. I use my modem in a bridge mode, all setup is on my servers instead. Where can I find this?
I have updated the wiki page to display the correct link
OK, thanks @brandonc, that solves part of the mystery. The other part is that when I click the "View/Request Tunnel" button, it prints:
Code: Select all
Transport:: 2001:05a8:0000:0001:0000:0000:0000:____/127
Network:: 2001:05a8:____:___0:0000:0000:0000:0000/60
(IDK how much of that is private.)
The addresses that I have configured currently, from several years ago, for 6RD are like 2602:244:624e:....
- Did something change? addresses, maybe?
- Is the technology different? because the iproute2 commands look similar, still looks like 6RD, but I don't understand the old "sixbone" reference.
Also, the content on
https://help.sonic.com/hc/en-us/article ... -IPv6-Tool looks nothing like the
https://members.sonic.net/labs/ipv6tunnel/ page that it references. It does, though, make reference to "6in4 tunneling", which links to a page whose content does match what I'm seeing.
So is the technology you're using 6in4 aka SIT, not 6RD? If so, idk how I got so confused years ago.
